ON-MODEL
PHOTOGRAPHY

IN STUDIO, ON WHITE OR COLOURED BACKGROUNDS,
FOR YOUR WEBSITE AND LOOKBOOKS.

On-model images show what a packshot cannot: the cut, the length, how the fabric falls and how the garment moves.

WHAT ON-MODEL CHANGES

On a hanger, a dress has no shape. Worn, it comes to life: you see its length, its volume, how the lace lets the light through. For the shopper, it answers the question “how does it fit?”.

  • The cut: fitted, loose, straight, tailored.
  • Proportions: sleeve and leg length, waist height.
  • The fabric: the drape of satin, the volume of faux fur, the transparency of lace.
  • The style: the attitude of the piece, your brand world.

THE ESSENTIAL VIEWS

For a complete product page, I recommend at least:

  • a full-length front view;
  • a back view, for cuts and rear details;
  • a waist-up or three-quarter shot, closer to the fabric;
  • a pose in movement, to show how the fabric falls.

Add white background packshots and fabric close-ups for a product page that answers every question.

THE MODEL

Two options: you bring your own team (model, make-up artist, hair, styling), or I take care of it and bring together the right people for your collection. Either way, I direct the session to get consistent poses from one piece to the next: same framing, same height, same light. Your catalogue stays coherent, even across hundreds of references.

TIP

Plan the shoes and accessories for every outfit before the session. A forgotten accessory means a series to reshoot.

FAQ

More questions?
Let’s talk.

Do you provide the model and make-up artist?

Your choice: you bring your own model, make-up artist and team, or I take care of bringing these people together for you, depending on your collection.

White or coloured background?

White is the standard for product pages and marketplaces. A coloured background or a set works better for lookbooks and social media.

How many views per piece?

Usually three to five: front, back, waist-up, movement and sometimes a detail. We define them in the shooting guide.
